We Built Our Own AI
Most AI is rented. You pay by the minute, and your data lives on someone else's machine. We do it the other way around — private AI on hardware we build and you own.
There's a version of "AI for your business" that's everywhere right now. You sign up, you paste in a credit card, and every question you ask — every contract, every customer record, every late-night "what did we agree to in March?" — gets shipped off to a data center you'll never see, run by a company you'll never meet, billed by the minute for as long as you keep using it.
We build the other kind.
Private AI, on a machine you own
Business Builders builds private, on-premise AI for small businesses. A local voice assistant, private document scanning, and workflow automation — running on hardware that sits in your building and belongs to you. You buy the machine once. The AI runs on it. Your data never leaves.
That's the whole idea, and everything we build comes back to it: local, private, yours.
No per-minute meter. No "your data may be used to improve our models." No outage three states away taking your front office down with it. The machine is on-site, the model runs on-site, and the answers come back without anything touching the cloud.
What we actually run
We're not a cloud wrapper with a logo on it. We run our own compute:
- An 8× RTX 3090 GPU cluster for local inference — the same box class we deploy into the businesses we work with, right-sized for a real small company instead of a 128-GPU "AI factory" nobody on Main Street needs.
- Local, open models that we run and tune ourselves — so we know exactly what's on the machine and exactly where the data goes (nowhere).
- A private document pipeline: point it at your paperwork — contracts, invoices, records — and ask it anything in plain English. It reads, it organizes, it answers. On your hardware. On-site.
Meet Eve
Our flagship is Eve — a local, full-duplex voice assistant that listens, talks back, and hands the busywork to her own agents. No API keys, no per-minute cost, running on your own box, with trust rules built into the code so risky actions stay gated.
Eve is in private beta today — deployed and improving, not finished. We're honest about that because we'd rather show you a real thing in progress than a demo video of a thing that doesn't exist.
We build the software and the machine
Here's the part most "AI companies" can't say: we build the hardware too.
We run our own GPU cluster, we machine our own metal parts on a CNC mill, and we do robotics and actuator R&D in the shop — designing and machining custom actuator housings and cycloidal-drive reductions around commercial motors. We're not claiming to be a robotics company; that work is research. But it means the people putting a private AI in your business are the same people who build and wire the machine it runs on. Software and the machine, end to end.
That's not a marketing line. It's why "hand-built" is on everything we make.
Right-sized, and here to stay
We're a small company building for small companies. Bootstrapped, profitable, and hands-on — we set the machine up in person and tune it to how you actually work, not through a ticket queue. We answer to our customers, not a runway clock.
If "AI for your business" has felt like renting something you'll never own, that you can't see, that bills forever — there's another way to do it.
Private AI, built for your shop. Tell us what eats your time, and we'll show you what a private, on-prem AI can take off your plate.
